Opening of the exhibition «80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders»

On May 7, 2024, the opening of the exhibition «80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders» took place at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Helsinki.

The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders. The exposition was prepared jointly with the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History and the State Institution «Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex».

The exhibition includes documentary photographs and materials reflecting the liberation of our country, as well as the Belarusian offensive operation «Bagration». At the end of the event, the guests were shown the military historical film «Undermining» (produced by «Belarusfilm»).

The Ambassadors of Russia and Kazakhstan to Finland, representatives of the Russian Center for Science and Culture, and compatriots living in Finland took part in the opening of the exhibition.

In his speech, Charge d'Affaires of Belarus to Finland Sergei Sinkevich stressed the importance of preserving the memory of the tragic events of the Great Patriotic War and urged everyone to remember the great feat and the Great Victory.
