On commemorative events in honor of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On May 9, 2021, in commemoration of the 76th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Finland Aleksei Samosuev together with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Pavel Kuznetsov and the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhanna Sartbaeva laid wreaths and flowers to the war memorial — a mass grave on the Hanko Peninsula, where in June — December 1941, in fierce battles, a small garrison of the Soviet naval base Hanko selflessly defended.


Also, in honor of Victory Day, the diplomat of the Embassy, together with the representatives of the Trade Representation of Russia, took part in the ceremony of laying flowers at the memorial monument to the fallen Soviet prisoners of war in the Malmi region, Helsinki (Finland).
