Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Denmark were established on February 4, 1992. In 2022, our countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of this significant date.
In November 1994, Minister for Foreign of Denmark paid a visit to Belarus. In February 1997, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus paid a return visit to Denmark.
Since November 2014, the Ambassador of Belarus in Finland has been accredited as a Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Denmark.
In December 2014, within the framework of the OSCE Ministerial Council events in Basel (Switzerland), took place a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark M.Lidegaard.

In October 2016, a two-day working visit of a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus headed by Deputy Minister Ms. Elena Kupchina to Copenhagen took place.
In April 2018, Deputy Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Mr. Carsten Grønbech-Jensen paid a working visit to Minsk.
In May 2019, the Ambassador of Belarus to Finland and Denmark concurrently Aleksei Samosuev presented his credentials to Queen Marget II of Denmark, and the Ambassador of Denmark to Russia and Belarus concurrently Carsten Søndergaard presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Belarus A. Lukashenko.
In 2021, Deputy Minister of Foreifn Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik met with the Danish Ambassador to Russia; during 2021-2022, the Embassy held five face-to-face consultations with the Danish Foreign Ministry on a wide range of issues. In June 2021, the Ambassador met with Danish parliamentarians.
